Fontainebleau Hall of Excellence Expands Collection with New Sports Memorabilia as Golden Knights Head to Stanley Cup Final
The most prominent new exhibit is the game‑worn jersey of Jack Eichel, the center and four‑time NHL All‑Star for the Golden Knights. The jersey was worn during the Knights’ 4‑1 series victory over the Florida Panthers in the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals, the franchise’s first championship. Alongside the jersey, the Hall now displays the 2023 Stanley Cup Championship belt and a championship ring awarded to the Knights’ players and staff.
Basketball fans will also find the 2025 Las Vegas Aces championship ring on display. The ring joins the Aces’ 2022 and 2023 championship rings that were already part of the collection. The Aces, who have won three WNBA titles in four years, earned the 2025 ring after defeating the Phoenix Mercury in the Finals.
The Hall’s basketball section also features the 1990 championship ring of UNLV legend Stacey Augmon. Augmon was a key player on the Rebels’ 1990 NCAA national championship team, a squad that remains one of the most dominant in college‑basketball history.
In tennis, the exhibit now includes the shirt, shorts and headband worn by Rafael Nadal when he secured his 21st Grand Slam title at the 2022 Australian Open. Nadal’s victory made him the first male player to reach that milestone.
Baseball memorabilia is represented by two items. The ball that Freddie Freeman hit over the fence for a walk‑off grand slam in the 2024 World Series is on display. The ball is a rare artifact from the Dodgers’ 2024 championship run. Additionally, the Hall showcases the authentic gear worn by Shohei Ohtani during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2025 World Series title.
The timing of the new displays aligns with the Golden Knights’ 2026 Stanley Cup Final appearance. The franchise, founded in 2017, became the fastest expansion team to win the Cup in 2023. Their return to the Final in 2026 marks a rare opportunity for the city to celebrate its sports heritage while the team competes for a second championship.
The Hall of Excellence is located within the Fontainebleau Las Vegas resort, a venue that has long been associated with high‑profile events and entertainment. By adding these artifacts, the Hall underscores Las Vegas’s status as a destination for sports history and memorabilia.
Visitors to the Hall can view the artifacts in a dedicated gallery that highlights the achievements of local and national athletes. The collection offers a tangible link to moments that have defined the city’s sports culture, from college basketball glory to international tennis triumphs and Major League Baseball milestones.
As the Golden Knights prepare for the 2026 Stanley Cup Final, the Hall’s expanded collection provides fans with a chance to see the physical symbols of championship success up close. The exhibit serves both as a tribute to the athletes who have contributed to Las Vegas’s sports legacy and as a reminder of the city’s growing influence in professional sports.
The Hall of Excellence will remain open to the public, and its new displays are expected to attract visitors from across the region. The addition of these artifacts coincides with the Golden Knights’ campaign, offering a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate the team’s history and current aspirations in a single venue.
